Adult Services

The Adult Services Department provides a wide range of materials and services designed to meet your need for adult information, entertainment, and lifelong learning. We collect an extensive variety of materials for adults; everything from the newest best sellers by your favorite authors to magazines and newspapers to suit all interests. The Library also provides access to numerous online resources, as well as non-fiction books and reference materials, audio CDs, videos and DVDs, and books on tape and CD. You can find the latest Hollywood blockbuster or the hottest CD by your favorite artist.

It is the goal of the Adult Services Department to help every adult in our service area reach his or her potential and to develop as an individual and as a citizen by providing the highest quality, accurate and timely materials and services. We want to be your place to turn for quick answers and general information for all kinds of questions; either by phone, in person, or by the Ask a Librarian form via the Internet. Help is available to place holds, find materials, use the automated catalog and to assist with the Internet computers.

Proctoring for Distance Education:

The Adult Services Department will proctor tests and class assignments at no charge for current Marysville Public Library cardholders. Appointments may be scheduled in person at the Reference Desk or by calling 937-642-1876 ext 32.


Outreach Services:

The Adult Services Department provides outreach services to seniors and other, less mobile members of our community. If you or someone you know would like one of our staff members to stop by your home or apartment to deliver books or materials, please talk to anyone in the Adult Services Department or call 937-642-1876 ext 32.


Notary Public:

The Marysville Public Library provides free Notary services to its cardholders. Please call the library in advance to see if a notary is on duty.


Programs & Events:

The Adult Services Department offers a variety of classes and programs designed to educate, entertain, enrich and strengthen our community. A few of the Library's offerings include computer classes, Genealogy classes, the Friends Forum and other seasonal or topical classes and/or presentations throughout the year.
